While a growing number of homes are including a fireplace in the living room or den, one of the trends in luxury homes is to add a fireplace to the bathroom. Since luxury homes tend to have very large bathrooms, there is plenty of space for a fireplace next to the bath. Not only does it look attractive, it also creates a nice, cozy atmosphere when relaxing in the tub.

#2: Heading to the Great Outdoors

Many homeowners are choosing to create an outdoor kitchen or other outdoor living space, but luxury houses take the outdoor kitchen to the extreme. In fact, the outdoor kitchens found in luxury homes tend to have all of the great amenities that most homeowners only dream of having in their indoor kitchen. For example, the outdoor kitchens may feature granite countertops and stainless steel ovens, ranges, sinks and refrigerators. The outdoor kitchens of luxury homes are also typically located near to other amenities that are ideal for entertaining, such as gazebos and swimming pools.

#3: Making Your Home Smart

While it is not unusual for a home to have security system, luxury homes usually have Smart Home Sensors. Smart Home Sensors are connected to a computer that automatically takes certain actions depending upon the command that is provided. With just the press of a button, the home will automatically lock the home's doors and windows when leaving or when going to bed at night.

With the help of movable walls, the owners of luxury houses can easily transform two smaller rooms into one larger room. Of course, when these walls are in place, no one would ever be able to guess that they are movable because they are creatively disguised in the form of bookcases or other natural-looking devices.
